GIZA THE GREAT

This is the story of a great dog that created a great impact in the life of two good friends and their families. It is amazing how the noble character of the APBT can touch people deep in the hearths and souls. Her Name was GIZA!!!! A true winner at the ADBA shows in Texas, honored with the first place in confimation and beauty by world renown judge Mr. Richard Sttraton. Also producer of the first Ace of Ace weight puller in Europe.

Everything stated with the great breeding of Macho and Cheyenne. Many people talk about the great stories of the great of Awesome Buck and Awesome Bull. However there was another incredible dog in the liter here name was Awesome Dolly, we called her GIZA. Just to write her name brings tears to my eyes. In this liter we had 7 pups 4 males 3 females, some die with parvo leaving us with Awesome Buck , Awesome Bull, Awesome Crash, and Awesome Dolly AKA GIZA. Awesome Buck was just AWESOME BUCK, Awesome Bull went to the hands of a newbie that waste an ACE, Awesome Crash went to the hands of a story teller that wasted many good dogs, Awesome Dolly went to Eric a friend and a gentleman.

Eric an honest man, I tell you as well as it comes; his word is worth gold. He contacts me asking for a female pup. Eric just had to have one, there was no other way around it. He was persistent and smart. You can tell the man have some education. He had some good references and I need it the money. He send a full payment even before the liter was born. Once I found myself with only one female, I was in a position where I really wanted to keep the only female Awesome Dolly, but I have given my word to Eric. It was on! Eric was to get the female. He appreciates my honesty and decision and he went and set up the shipping. It was hard for her to get into Europe, but she did. Eric will say the story.

The first time I heard about cheyenne was when she was 11 months old. I heard she was phenomenal and it made me interested. I had also heard about Macho as a young dog and I really like they way he looked, he didnt look like his littermates, like if he had some of his background in him. Well, looks donīt make a dog good, but well, on him perhaps it did. I had had bad luck on several matings before, not being able to purchase a pup, from really good matings that later showed to produce good dogs, so I took Chicos word for it and put in a request for a pup of Macho & Cheyenne, and man was I lucky to obtain Giza in the end. I never forget the day she came running to me, that little red and funny pup took my heart immedialty. I named her Giza after an old neighbours hunting dog. I like the name and also, sometimes she looked like one of those egyptian dogs. She was a pride and joy to be around, and everyone that lived with her or knew her well, says the same thing, she was somehow a really intelligent animal, she got a hand of things not any other dog I owned got a hand of. She was more like her sire then her dame in temperament. She will be the best dog I have ever owned, and will own, and most likely the last of her kind I will ever own. I feel sorry she never left any offspring at Openhouse. She had one litter in Europe containing some good ones. I still am quite sure she could have put her name better if she had some more chance to give pups. Anyway, it was a hard decision, but the best decision anyway to have her sent back to the place where she was born, and where her ancestors can continue to preserve the legacy of the American Pit Bull terrier. The day I heard about her death was a sad one, she really got into my familys hearts aswell as in the hearts of Openhouse family, and therefor she will never be forgotten! Thanks Openhouse for, as always, being a 100%, and thanks Giza for the 6+ years you gave us.

Once Eric had all those problems, she was send to us back in the USA. Giza was a monster. She was some smooth she took our family and became the queen of the house. She slept with us every night, She will watch TV, go to the store, and I mean 100 % like another child. Amazing Giza was the joy of the house at any holiday. She was the best girl we had. Thanks Eric. We were very exited, we breed her to Hercules, and to Ch Waycan, but unfortunately she was weird on her heats and we did not get pups. Man how much I wish I had some pups from her. We took her to two ADBA show, and an AADR show and place both times. Richard Stratton gives her first place on her class.

She was crazy to walk at nights she will always be looking for a wild animal. Once she seen one she would screen out of her lungs like a wild animal waaaaaaaaa, super crazy.

Unfortunately one day she went to the front of the house to use the restroom, and a snake bit her. She came into the house and she looked ok. She past away and we miss her big time. Gize our baby you will forever live in our harts and souls. I will forever be thankful to Eric and his family to his parents, which Giza loved with all her hart. This is the true character of the dogs we breed and raise. Giza is today in heaven looking at our families as one. My God bless all of GIZA and us. One more for Macho and Cheyenne!

We still have Cheyenne and now we got Damian, which is Macho's brother. I acquired Damian with the main intension to reproduce that great breeding.

What Giza represented to me was a TRUE HONEST FRIEND a real bulldog. If you felt she loved you is because she really did. She came to us a mature dog, I never thought in a million years I will become so drawn to her as I did. She became an opening to all the other dogs in my life after her. She has opened my eyes to see my Pit bulls in a whole different light. I have always been around these great animals (The American Pit Bull Terrier) but haven't opened my heart to them this way in a very long time.

I had a few another amazing dogs in my lifetime that I have opened up my heart to, 1. being Bruno Boy and the other Joker, they were characters, they were gentle, loving, kind and most of all just fun to be around they knew how to make you smile even when you didn't want too. The difference between these 2 great animals and Giza is that I had these guys since they were babies, they were raised with us. Unfortunately, Bruno & Joker passed away a few years ago. After that I really never fell in love this hard with another dog until this one. Giza was an Ace of a dog, her personality was phenomenal. She was the gentlest dog I ever knew. The other dogs were wonderful however they were boys and knew how to act like boys. Giza was a girly girl.

I truly think that she thought she was a person. You see she was raised by this great family in Europe that loved her as if she was one of their children, so when she came to us her heart was molded to just love you. She knew how to knock down my wall of thinking "oh this is just another dog" fast! She started with her smiling, and what a great smile she had. She didn't wag her tail she shook her whole bottom when she saw you. She would lie with you and watch TV as a child would she was the best to cuddle with. She loved to sleep with me on the bed, AND YES, SHE SLEPT WITH ME ON MY BED! She would get on the bed and pull the sheets with her teeth above her head and lie on a pillow right next to me & I loved it. My poor husband had no say when it can to Giza, in my eyes she never did no wrong.

She was my driving partner, where I went so did she. She knew when it was time to go, she would jump in the car sit in the passenger side and just enjoy the ride. I truly love that dog. She was my friend. She was so soft, that she never even jumped on you. She was very smart also, she gave paw and sat on command. She was my spoiled baby, if I had to leave her at home alone because I was going to work or somewhere that she was not able to go I would have to leave the cartoons on for her so my baby won't be lonely. You see she was special she was LOVED by everyone in the house. The kids loved her and I think they saw her like a baby not a dog. She acted like a baby that's why. They would fight to see whom Giza would sit or cuddle with or who's dog she belonged to. That's just the kind of impact she made on us all.

One of the other great thing about her was that with her I never had to sweep the kitchen, she would not leave my site if I was cooking she would wait to see what I would drop so she can pick it up for me (of course for her tummies pleaser). She was my taste tester and she had no problems with that job. She never let anything go to waste her nickname was garbage disposal. Oh, let me not forget how sensitive she was, don't ever yell at her. She would give you the most sad puppies eyes ever I really think that term was made just for her. Eyes that would make you feel bad for yelling at her even if she did do something wrong. Which was rare. It's hard to fit everything great about her here because you would be reading for ever, the most important thing I can say about her is that there will never be another dog like that ever!

She was one of a kind to me and to many others who had the chance to be around such a great animal. The day she past was the worst day for me, that day I lost 2 great friends my grandmother & Giza. That was the worst day in my life! But they both would always have special places in my heart because both were great in my book, which is the only book that matters. Thank you for showing love to this great dog and this wonderful breed, let's keep the positive image of them alive so in case you are as lucky as me to have a great dog like her you can enjoy them as much as I did her.
